INTRODUCTION ----------------------------------------------- The following sections attempt to provide a short introduction to using Webalizer Xtended. This document is not meant to be a comprehensive manual on understanding or using Webalizer, but should be sufficient to get you running Webalizer with some more features (Webalizer Xtended). OVERVIEW OF FEATURES ----------------------------------------------- The current release supports the following features: The original features of Webalizer (of course) + Monthly statistics for "404 Not Found" errors + "404 Not Found" error statistics with incremental or full logfile processing + Automatic "404 Not Found" error sorting + Number of Top "404 Not Found" entries in the statistics selectable via the Webalizer config file + Bug-fix for truncated user agent strings in the "User Agents" statistics in the original Webalizer code + Bug-fixes for serveral other truncated string problems (e.g. referrers) + Bug-fixes for several buffer overflows in the original Webalizer code + Grouping of a lot of well known browser / user agents / bots enabled in the Webalizer configuration file 1.2. COMMAND LINE PARAMETERS ----------------------------------------------- Webalizer allows certain configuration options to be provided as parameters. The most common way to specify a parameter is via the command line.
